False advertising

Ordered a boat cover which said that they provide a free outboard motor cover. They did not say it was attached to the boat cover which only covers the top of the motor. I did not get anywhere by calling them. Watch out for this company as their products are inferior and they do no advertise with specific information. I initially called them to place the order and asked about the free motor cover which they advertise. Will never do business with them again.

I shot back referring them to a competitors web that stated the prop 1411-**-** that they sent instead of what I ordered included THRU HUB EXHAUST. Their second message "We are aware that this prop exhausts thru the hub". Thanks a million for your referral to WEST MARINE. I found a store, gave them the same prop #Quicksilver QA2038X and it took them all of 5 minutes to put an exact dupe in my hands. NEVER AGAIN WILL I MAKE THE IBOATS MISTAKE - WEST MARINE IS LIGHTYEARS BETTER THAN THESE ROOKIES AT IBOATS. t

Bimini fail

I thought I might have some satisfaction after being ripped off, but the number of bad reviews tells me it won't faze Iboats. Anyway, I ordered a replacement bimini top for my pontoon boat. Received the top, quality material, well sewn. It had no zippers. I've been boating for 30 years, never received one with no zippers I'd have to completely disassemble the frame down to the last screw on order to fit it on. CS lady says it is a custom job and they don't come with zippers, when their subcontract company (Carver) clearly states they do come with zippers. Luckily I have the skill and machine to install zippers, so I'm not completely out of the $278.00 they stole.

If you took five seconds to ask anyone at iboats you would realize that ordering direct from Carver is different than ordering from iboats. Carver does have options for zippered bimini tops but they aren't offered through Iboats.

contacted iBoats by phone. They advised get # off of prop and order by that number, which I did.

Wrong prop sent. 3 contacts with customer service, first by phone, waste of time, sent request to return - denied- one thing stated in reply - item you claim to ordered not on our site. GO TO IBOATS, SELECT PROPS, PUT IN QUICKSILVER QA2038X. 2nd communication, same *** can't take back, (used).

They will not admit it was their mistake and don't care. I really don't have time to deal with companies that are total rip offs. I should have read the reviews - mostly bad.

I have found a fantastic marine supply dealer in WEST MARINE, thanks to your tip. Readers remember WEST MARINE.

ordered prop on line using # on prop. Didn't notice different number on prop received, fit perfectly, looked same, but didn't realize pitch was wrong until it hit the water. return policy no return if it gets wet. customer service very abrasive. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME DEALING WITH THESE PEOPLE. THEY HAVE NO ATTENTION TO DETAIL, ESPECIALLY ORDERING A PROP. THEY EXPECT YOU TO DETERMINE THE PITCH BY LOOKING AT IT. OUT $99 BY DEALING WITH SLEEZE BALLS.

If you didn't check the pitch size before running the prop then that sounds like a you issue.

I purchased an Evinrude Service Manual for my 1976 outboard from your company. I thought I was ordering a manual for a 70 HP engine, but somehow ended up with one for a 35 HP engine. I called today to make arrangements to return the manual and order the proper one, but was told it is your policy to not accept a return for credit. Needless to say, I am seriously upset over this policy. I now have a $70 manual that I can't use, and worse yet, I don't have the manual I thought I had ordered and need. Your policy is not reputable, and I expect you to make this error good and accept a return of this item for full credit.

Shipped wrong prop - won't allow return

additional details. From iBoats denial e-mail 1. "cannot take back prop or boat with that prop". 2. "exhaust cannot run thru the prop". 3. "ordered yourself on line -" when I entered QA2038X all that came up was quicksilver propellers" Answers 1. Prop 1411-**-** that I received must be for an airplane since any boat with that prop voids warranty. 2. On www.boatid.com put in prop 1411-**-** description. Surprise - THRU HUB EXHAUST. 3. Go on line to iBoats.com, select Quicksilver props, enter QA2038X - surprise it goes to QA2038X WHICH IS THE ONE I ORDERED. 1411-**-** is the one I received.

Wasted Three Weeks With iBOATS Waiting For My First Order

On June 26th I placed a $350.00 order with iBOATS for seat stands. Their website said they were in stock. Weeks late the order still said "Processing". I start sending emails asking for a status report. Nothing, no response. I finally call and they tell me Wise, the seat manufacturer says they never even received the order. I asked why they didn't handle this weeks ago when I started sending emails concerning the order. Again, no explanation.

Today, July 12, I see they just cancelled my order, No call, no email, no explanation. But my bank account is still missing $350.00 which they took out on June 28th. Funny, Amazon doesn't take your money until they ship an order. But I boats has had my money for weeks earning interest while I have nothing to show for my effort and money.

Way to go iBOATS, way to win over a new customer! Now my boat is weeks behind schedule because I have to start all over trying to find seat that are ACTUALLY in stock.

Back Order

I ordered Teak Sealer and Fiberglass restorer on 10/31/2018. I paid extra for two day express shipping.

Two days latter I did not receive my product. I contacted Fed-Ex and was told that they processed it as standard shipping. I then called I-boats and they said because it was a HAZ-MAT item it could not be put on the plane. So my question is why is second day express an option for this item?

I also ordered a cup and plate holder for my galley on Nov 1, 2018.

Again I paid for second day express shipping. Today is Nov 7, 2018 and I still have not received it. I just spoke to a representative at I-boats and she told me that they refunded my second day shipment payment and that the product is on back order and they do not have an ETA on when it will ship.

She said she would e-mail me latter if she can get an ETA. Why would they have this product available on their website if it is not?

I will NEVER order from this customer again!!!!!!

I ordered some seat hinges on line and noticed that they were going to double ship.I contacted customer service with in 2 minutes and advised them of the problem.Was put on hold for 20 minutes while customer service called warehouse to take care of problem.CS rep finally came back and said i would be receiving a credit for the part of the order that wasn't ordered and only one item would ship.Never received credit but yesterday i received notification that the order was double shipped.Just called customer service and was told they couldn't stop the order because the process had gone too far for them to stop it.This after 2 minutes.Give me a break.They said i would have to wait for the order to arrive before they would issue a return authorization and I would be liable for freight.I will be returning both orders and never deal with these people again.Horrible service for this day and age.How do they stay in business?

Ordered a semi custom boat cover, gave them the boat year and model, cover arrived as promised BUT did not fit. That fact isn’t enough for return.

The Return policy is basically to make you jump through enough hoops to give up. After requesting pictures proving that the cover didn’t fit (my boat is two hours away. I said NFW), I was finally given a return approval. I paid $80 to ship and insure the cover back and that is before the RESTOCKING FEE of 15-25% on a $500 cover.

Very disappointed with this company. ( One positive was The customer service woman was great inspite of the draconian return policy) Don’t rely on the companies data to order your cover, measure it yourself and confirm it is big enough.

Finally the $500 cover doesn’t come with any straps either. That is extra apparently.

I ordered shoes sent them back and they not once said I had to have a tracking number so dummy me didn't even think they would scam on some shoes but now they gave me five days to get them a tracking number or they will not honor the return. Not to mention what I ordered was like counterfeit. I've worn these shoes for years and the pair they sent were cheap junk BEWARE

Archaic return process, bad policy

I ordered a Mustang life jacket re-arm kit. They sent me a kit that was the wrong size and for a different brand life jacket.

No big deal, I'll just return it. I called to get a return authorization number. Instead of sending a pre paid shipping label, it is the consumers responsibility to go pay for shipping and send the item back. I spent 12 dollars to send the stupid thing back, and 8 dollars originally to have them send me the wrong thing.

Once they received the item back (I had the tracking number), 1 month later they credit me the refund but not for any shipping. I called customer service, and they refunded me the 8 dollars, but did nothing for the cost to send it back. These days, this is just ridiculous.

You send the wrong thing, you dont charge the consumer to send it back, and you dont take a month after getting the item back to issue a refund. I'll be purchasing marine supplies elsewhere from now on, and I encourage any readers of this reviee to do the same.

Bad Customer service

rchased a new Solas Prop for a 50 HP Honda. It was shipped on 05/21/2018. It has an awful whining noise. I contacted Solas and iboats way before 30 day's. iBoats. refused to take the prop back as it was placed on the motor and in the water. Like I would know about the noise before that?? Solas agreed to take it back under warranty. I contacted iboats for the return procedure. Here is their response: Hi Edward,

I received the below email. If you were looking to return the propeller unfortunately we are unable to accept any returns once the propeller has been placed in the water or the engine has been run. I apologize for any inconvenience. Any warranty issues would have to be solved through Solas directly.

Who ever you spoke to at Solas gave you incorrect information this warranty claim will have to be filed through them. On August 17 I placed an order for Torsa College Pride Logo Boat Seat. The IBoats Web site said this item would ship in 7 days.

As of today, Sept. 5, following my third call, nobody can tell me anything because the only person who knows is a manufacturer rep who is out this week.

I would not have guessed that an item had to be procured from its manufacturer only after an order has been placed. But, so be it, if that's the way the system works.

Still, I hope somebody at IBoats will have a have a discussion with the manufacturer about their business practices. The absence of one person should not make it impossible to get any information on an order, especially when it is this late.
